collection: Birthstone Discs

The birthstone disc is not a flat plate with one stone in the middle, but a small 7.35 mm ring with 15 cubic zirconia set all the way around it. That is why it sparkles from every angle – even when it turns as you wear it. At 2.2 mm thick and around 0.35 g, it still stays understated. Engraving is not possible on this shape: there is no smooth reverse side to carry it.

The disc has a closed ring with an inner diameter of 4.07 mm – not an open jump ring. It is threaded onto the chain rather than hooked on. If you order the ready-made necklace, we do that for you before shipping. If you order the charm on its own, you will need a chain that opens: a fully assembled clasp will not pass through 4.07 mm. That is the key difference from our charms with a soldered bail.

Because the discs are threaded on rather than hooked on, you can wear several on the same chain – the birth months of your children, of your parents, or a date that matters to you. The selection window on the product page lets you add further months straight to your cart. Each disc is also available on its own, so you can extend your necklace over the years.

The ready-made necklace is the simpler route: you pick the anchor ball chain, the singapore chain or the venetian chain, we thread the disc on and send the piece ready to wear. Choose the charm on its own if you already have a suitable chain that opens – or if you want to add another month to a disc necklace you already own. Every disc comes in yellow gold: stainless steel with 18 carat premium gold plating.
